Today Best Puerto Vallarta Tours will show you our beautiful Puerto Vallarta. Puerto Vallarta, as diverse as it is beautiful and it is one of the best vacation destinations in Mexico. One of the most enchanting things about Puerto Vallarta is the diversity, and unlike many cultures, it is not hidden and it is within easy walking distance. Full of elegant and beautiful art galleries, sidewalk spray paint artists, and our wonderful and much-loved sand sculpture artists. Puerto Vallarta is also full of gourmet restaurants, sidewalk bistro cafes, and delicious taco stands. Puerto Vallarta’s diversity is one of the things that makes our home such a desirable vacation destination and a home away from home for many Americans and Canadians! Puerto Vallarta is also diverse in orientation; very family oriented and very gay friendly with a large gay culture. Puerto Vallarta has become a number one gay destination, and one of the fastest growing spring-break destinations. Spring-break in Puerto Vallarta, is less wild than other spring-break destinations. It is a balancing act that seems to have been perfected here in our wonderful home.
What does all of this mean for the tourists who choose Puerto Vallarta for their next vacation?
It means you can stroll downtown along the boardwalk stop and grab a taco for lunch, head back to your hotel and freshen up for a night on the town. Gourmet restaurants; Trio, Vitea, Barcelona Tapas, Le Kliff, Marantina, Porto Bello, and many, many more, and after an amazing dining experience…A night of dancing till dawn. The following is a short list of some of the restaurants Best Puerto Vallarta Tours recommends the most; Trio: gourmet Mediterranean, paired with fine wines, cafe, bar. Vitea: wonderful sidewalk bistro cafe, ocean front. Porto Bello: fantastic Italian, great wine menu, marina view. Marantina: in the heart of the romantic zone, gastro lounge, martini bar. Barcelona Tapas: delicious Spanish Tapas, beautiful view, wonderful wine selection. Le Kliff: spectacular view, gourmet cuisine. These restaurants are just a few of the participants in Restaurant Week here in Puerto Vallarta, May 15 – 31. Most of the also participate in the Gourmet Food Festival later in the year. Puerto Vallarta has long been an artists home, but it is also home to hundreds of restaurants. So when you vacation in Puerto Vallarta, make sure to try several of our many wonderful restaurants.
It also means that during the winter and spring months you can participate in the Art Walk. While you are heading to the first gallery you may pass the beautiful sand sculptures on the beach by the Malecon walk (boardwalk downtown), or see the guy that stacks the rocks (huge stones and small, narrow and wide or long all standing on ends) it really is incredible to watch, in the evenings you will see the “living” Sand sculpture man on the Malecon. While walking downtown you might see the stretched glass artists working with the tube of glass and a torch, or the Huichol Indians applying the beads to the wooden sculptures covered in beeswax. Both are a must stop to appreciate the detail and time that goes into each work of art. Some of the Galleries have the featured artists on site, and some have the featured artists actually painting during the Art Walk, or throughout the day, make sure to check the PV Mirror online to see what is happening with the galleries. Next to the Malecon bridge that crosses to old town you will find delicious sweet treats of crepes, fresh strawberries and whip cream, roasted corn on the cob, fresh “waters” (juices from fruits, melons, and flowers), mangos on sticks, and much more. At the base of the bridge is a beautiful new art gallery outside under the sail type canopy covers, and on the side of this unique gallery you will find various spray paint artists. They are incredible to watch, creating pictures using paper plates, and plastic bags to change the texture of the paint. Very creative. Crossing over the bridge you will find more small restaurants on the beach, and of course the delicious Blue Shrimp, beach front sea food dining.
So whether you prefer gourmet dining, cultural art, gay Vallarta, history, native art, party scenes, family activities, water tours, or just relaxing at the beach, Puerto Vallarta has something just for YOU!
