Losing your luggage only kicks in when it happens to you

It seems like never in the history of travel has it been more important to secure luggage identification to your luggage with now an estimated 50 million pieces of luggage going missing every year world-wide. In fact, lost luggage is one of the biggest concerns to the modern traveler, but  airlines and airports continue to struggle with this problem. Most of the time items do return to their owners but unfortunately very often with a delay and in some cases it can take several months to get your luggage back.

Especially when you are connecting flights, the chances of losing your luggage greatly increases due to delayed flights, bad weather and the ever-growing number of travelers in Mexico. Airports are often experiencing congestion and this often results in luggage delays.

If you happen to be on a business trip or in you way to a destination wedding,  getting your luggage back after you have already returned home will be welcoming but won’t be of much help during your trip. Just think about showing up to a business meeting with no fresh clothes, no cosmetics, and no fresh underwear especially after a long flight.

The reality of lost luggage really only kicks in when it happens to you. This is why it is very important to attach a security luggage tag that is traceable back to its owner to every piece of it (even your carry on) so that airport staff can quickly locate the owner and get it back to them.

Not only can lost and found staff quickly identify the owner but they can even send the items to their hotel, so make sure to fill the tags properly  and include the hotel address and phone number.

The thought of going to a wedding in jeans is not pleasant one, so you should never travel without  traceable luggage tags, they are truly every penny worth their cost!
