Located where the Cuale river meets the ocean; this island (because is surrounded by the water of the river and the ocean) is a must visit while in Puerto Vallarta. The Archeological Cuale Museum is on the west end and close to the beach, this is a small museum but has been recognized trough the later years because of the quality of the pieces that are displayed, it contains valuable objects from pre-hispanic cultures on the western part of the country.
The Cuale little market is located along the walkway and includes dozens of stands offering traditional Puerto Vallarta art-crafts that include: typical clothes, original art-wok as well as commercial, key-chains, hats, silver and all the good stuff that will keep you entertained and looking.
At the end of the day and after enjoying a day full of culture, fun and shopping you can have a nice dinner in any of the very good restaurants available, if you still have the energy then jump back in to the popular Vallarta Malecon and admire the sunset one more time…..
