If you live in Puerto Vallarta or just arrived for your vacation then you probably have seen this amazing ship in the main marina. Francisco Jose Ortiz is the person in charge of this beauty and is the second time he visits Puerto Vallarta, they are in the bay to enhance the experience of the upcoming sailing event.
The crew is coming back from a word travel tour that included places such as Panama, Cuba, Europe, the US, Turkey and many others.
The Training Ship Cuauhtemoc (ARM Cuauhtémoc BE-01), also known as Mexican Ambassador and Gentleman of the Seas is a ship of the Navy of Mexico in which the cadets from the Heroic Military Naval School make their practice. These practices include the study of subjects such as naval kinematics, nautical astronomy, national and international maritime law, naval communications, and maintenance management, seminars and navigational practices are included in their resume and it all forms an essential part of the training of Naval Cadets.
The vessel is a schooner-rigged ship with three masts and 23 sails spread with a total of 2, 368 square meters of sail.
This amazing ship will be in the Puerto Vallarta Marina until the following Thursday March 13, 2012 and is open for visitors during most part of the day.
